Private training
Before we can take our animals into uncontrolled environments, we start inside your home where your pet can be more comfortable and focused. This way we can properly set up training scenarios where your pet can be successful in practicing good behaviors, along with implementing strategies to manage and redirect unwanted behaviors. An experienced trainer will do an in-depth assessment of your home set-up to devise a specific management and training plan to meet your dog and/or cat’s individual needs. This plan may be modified depending on the animal’s progress.
Private training is typically followed with an emailed training plan and/or resources so you feel educated and assured going forward.
We believe training should be accessible to all income levels, and we do our best to keep our rates affordable and competitive. Please reach out to discuss potential discounts for your situation.
Cat Training
Don’t be fooled by the name! The People’s Pup also can help with your cat’s behavior. We believe cats and dogs should be treated equally and should be provided with the same care, enrichment time, and learning opportunities. That’s why we specialize in dog/cat home integration, so all species can live harmoniously. From inappropriate scratching to counter surfing to the carrier and nail trims, we can help your kitty become a well-adjusted family member. Cat training can be done over Zoom or in person depending on their individual temperament.
